Currently serving as Consultant Orthopedic Spine Surgeon at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center, Riyadh since April 2022, and Program Director of the Spine Surgery Fellowship since September 2022. He also holds an academic appointment as Adjunct Associate Professor at the College of Medicine, Alfaisal University, Riyadh. His work integrates advanced clinical practice, surgical training, and academic leadership in the field of spine surgery.

Dr. Mai A. Aldera
Assistant Professor
Assistant Professor of Pain Management and Rehabilitation at King Saud University with a PhD in Chronic Pain Management from Imperial College London. With extensive teaching, clinical, and research experience, has contributed to curriculum development, faculty collaboration, and national training programs, advancing education and innovative approaches in pain management and rehabilitation

Dr. Yahya Alqahtani
Consultant Spine Surgeon
Consultant Spine Surgeon with extensive international training in France and Canada, including clinical fellowships in complex spine surgery. He has served as Consultant at leading Saudi hospitals and currently contributes as Board Member and Treasurer of the Saudi Spine Society, advancing spine surgery practice, education, and research nationally and internationally.

Dr. Mohammed Alswat
Orthopedic & Spine Surgery Consultant
Head of Orthopedics Department and Orthopedic & Spine Surgery Consultant at Security Forces Hospital, Makkah. Experienced in departmental leadership, operative management, and emergency services. He has chaired disaster and OR improvement committees, driving clinical excellence, patient care, and operational efficiency in orthopedic and spine surgery.

Dr. Hussam Jabri
Consultant Neurosurgeon
Dr. Hussam Jabri is a Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery. With extensive experience in advanced spine procedures, he performs artificial disc replacements, herniated disc surgeries, spinal stenosis treatment, scoliosis correction, and spinal tumor removals. He also serves as the Program Director for Neurosurgery Residency Training and is a certified international trainer in endoscopic spine surgery.

Dr. Abdulwahed Barnawi
Neurosurgeon & Spinal Surgeon
Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon at Prince Sultan Military Medical City, Riyadh, serving as Program Director of the Spine Fellowship and Head of Spine Oncology Division. He also leads the Saudi National Fellowship Program in Spine Surgery, overseeing training, examinations, accreditation, and advancing education and patient care in spine surgery.

He serves on multiple regional and international spine society boards and editorial committees, contributing significantly to clinical practice, research, education, and academic leadership in spine surgery.

Dr. Fahad Alhelal
Adult & Pediatric Spine Consultant
Adult and pediatric spine surgeon with expertise in trauma, tumors, infections, and complex spinal deformities. Section Head of Spine Surgery at the Ministry of National Guard, Riyadh, and Program Director of the Spine Surgery Fellowship. He also serves as Vice President of the Saudi Spine Society and Assistant Professor at KSAUH.

Dr. Mohammad Alsofyani

Consultant Spine and Scoliosis Surgeon for adults and pediatrics, currently practicing at University of Hail University Hospital and Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group. Assistant Professor of Orthopedics at the University of Hail, with advanced fellowship training in adult and pediatric spine surgery from Université de Montréal and clinical experience in France.

The upcoming meeting will be conducted virtually via Zoom to discuss and vote for the new Board Committee candidates of the Saudi Spine Society. The meeting will be held on 25th October at 1:00 PM.

This meeting is exclusively for active members of the Saudi Spine Society.
